Director of center of distance technologies and e-learning URSMU Tamara Silina told that now there are the good reasons to transition from passive forms of knowledge transmission (electronic educational resources, video, audio, virtual labs) to active (lectures, consultations and certification in online mode), as the first unlike the latter require the student's high motivation and perseverance. One of the instruments contributing to the effective transfer of knowledge are webinars, which are now actively implemented in the educational process of the University. Webirars help us to lead video conferencing, online discussions and seminars, remote thesis defenses, etc. without the needs to create specialized multimedia tools.
Modern technical possibilities of distance education will be fully involved in the framework of the implementation Mountain new international master's program in Geology and Geophysics.
